Scott Sheldon has always been musically influenced since he saw Jimi Hendrix play at Woodstock in 1969, he was 5 years old then. After seeing many of the most influential artists of the late 60s & 1970s play live, he began to build guitars and amps with his dad who was a technical wiz at electronics and woodworking. At the age of 13, he built his very first Les Paul Gold Top electric guitar from scratch, complete with a home-made bassman style amp, with the help of his tech-guru father "Jack Francis". He quickly became a prodigy and taught himself how to build / repair and play guitars by the time he was in his teens. His live music experience fanned the flames of his desire to be a professional guitar player and eventually a vintage guitar collector and enthusiast. In the 1980’s, his band “Rumors" gained local recognition on the east coast and shared the stage with countless major national acts such as the Joe Perry Project, Farrenheit, Letters to Cleo, the Del Fuegos and the Cars, just to name a few

After attending Emerson College, Scott appeared in numerous major motion pictures and television shows along with doing print/commercial modeling after getting the acting bug in school.  He has been an active member of the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television & Radio Performers (SAG and AFTRA) since 1991. Scott is also an active member of NAMM with his guitar business MCi Music Co, and is an active music community member and helps people find jobs in the technology industry as a recruiter. He is a proud father to his son "Max" and devoted husband too. He spends a good deal of his free time teaching his son how to play guitar and appreciate music and the arts

Scott is currently writing a book and researching rare and collectible instruments. He also plays guitar professionally in a local cover band in Southern California for the past decade and supports local music. Scott
has been documenting several historically significant musical instruments for the past decade including the now discovered Hunterburst and is one of the nation's leading authorities on Max and Kris Derrig Guitars and other hand-made specialty instruments and an avid vintage Gibson Les Paul Burst collector.

Biography
http://www.stevehunter.com/

The legendary American guitarist best known for his collaborations with Lou Reed Alice Cooper and Peter Gabriel. Steve is one of those rare players who has the uncanny ability to play the perfect guitar part. That’s why Lou Reed, Alice Cooper, Peter Gabriel, Aerosmith, David Lee Roth, and Tracy Chapman have all had him record or tour with them.

He started playing guitar when he was 8 years old and has dedicated his life to music. His professional career began in 1971 when he joined a band called ‘Detroit featuring Mitch Ryder’.

He first played with Mitch Ryder in the band Detroit, beginning a long association with record producer Bob Ezrin. With that band he recorded his first ever album with Bob. "Steve Hunter has contributed so much to rock music in general that he truly deserves the designation of "Guitar Hero" - Bob Ezrin

In the early seventies, he appeared on four Alice Cooper albums that Ezrin produced. In 1973, he was on the final two albums recorded by the Alice Cooper band, Billion Dollar Babies and Muscle of Love.

A mutual respect developed between Bob and Steve and over the course of the next few years they worked on many projects together including 4 Alice Cooper albums, Peter Gabriel’s first solo album which included ‘Solsbury Hill’, and Lou Reed’s ‘Berlin’ album.

When Alice Cooper became a solo artist the following year, Hunter followed and appeared on Welcome to My Nightmare. He also played on Peter Gabriel's self-titled first solo album, Peter Gabriel, which was likewise produced by Ezrin, in 1977.

His first collaboration with Lou Reed was for the Berlin album. He also played in the live band captured on Reed's live albums, Rock 'n' Roll Animal and Lou Reed Live. Reed and Hunter are currently working on a new live version of Berlin.

Other artists Hunter has worked with include David Lee Roth (in the mid-1990s), and Tracy Chapman. He was also in the band and contributed music to the soundtrack of the film "The Rose" starring Bette Midler and many other soundtracks over the years.

Along the way he also recorded two solo albums, the first being ‘Swept Away’ with Ezrin producing and the second self-produced album called ‘The Deacon’ In late '06 Steve joined up with Lou Reed again to do a live version of Lou's landmark album ‘Berlin’ from which there is a live DVD release due for September 16th 2008. He also joined Lou on a US East Coast tour earlier this year and has recently completed a further ‘Berlin’ European tour.

Steve released his first solo CD for many years in 08; “Hymns For Guitar” is a collection of old American hymns wrapped in a blanket of calming and inspiring guitar.

Watch out for a book of Steve's hymn arrangements in TAB plus CD, due out by the end of the year ‘Short Stories’, Steve’s latest CD is a collection of instrumentals full of mood and color. “I have always admired authors such as O. Henry and Edgar Allan Poe for their ability to tell an amazing tale in very few words.

He is also a big fan of the old Twilight Zone series for the same reason. With “Short Stories” I’ve tried to do something similar only with music. Most of the songs on the CD are 3 minutes or less in length but I wanted each one to tell its own little story. I also think of each piece as a “sound picture”, projecting an aural image as well as telling a story.

I hope you enjoy my collion of "Short Stories"
